As part of Roaming Facility to be enabled, BSNL EVDO monthly rental will be increased by Rs. 100 from tomorrow. For instance, if you are paying the monthly rental of Rs. 550, it will be increased to Rs 650. This new tariff is effective from July 1st 2009 for all new customers. And for existing customers who are using this service for Rs 550, must have to upgrade to higher plan. (i.e Rs. 650) after being used the service for at least 6 months. For more information, please visit this page.
If you consider this hike as a bad news, you might be wrong. BSNL will soon enable Roaming facility for this service. So that you can use this device in other cities all over India where the service is available without any extra charges.

ReplyDeleteDear all,
ReplyDeleteI had bought EVDO on 6th August and got it activated on 7th. At the time of application, I was told about monthly charges @ Rs.550/- and a rental of Rs.200/- + STaxes ( as I am not sure about its performance, hence I opted on rental basis). No other charges were intimated to me by the officials at the time of application. To my surprise, when I got the first month bill (August) on 11th September, they have charged Rs.500/- as One Time Activation charges ? Is it applicable to all in their very first bill or is it an exceptional case ? Please reply
HI,
ReplyDeleteCan anyone tell about their 1st month bill where in "one time activation" charge of Rs.500/- charged ?
Same happened with me. I called BSNL office. They said bill is incorrect. Go to the BSNL office they will correct the bill.
