BSNL EVDO Now Available in Jammu, Firozabad & Shajapur, M.P

A sweet news to people living in Jammu, Firozabad and Shajapur! BSNL has started EVDO Service in these cities and has also started giving out new connections.

Few members in our forum living those cities has informed about this new service availability and I would really like to thank those people for their useful information.

So far, we do not know the performance of the connection or we haven't recieved any reviews yet from our members. But we hope it will be good out there. If you are living in any of these cities and will gonna get this connection, please do inform us about the performance and we will be really appreciate your effort.

To avail this service, all you have to do is go to your nearest BSNL Telephone Exchange and ask for EVDO service. Follow some simple procedures and hand over required documents like address proof, IDs etc pay the money and you are done. They give you the device on the spot and will activate the device in a day or sometimes within 6 hours!

If BSNL starts EVDO service (be it CDMA 1x or EVDO), please kindly inform us in that thread which helps others like it does in this post.

    has the EVDO been launched in Kashmir Valley plz inform as i m willing to pruchase one.Morever, if EVDO is purchased outside the valley will it properly function here?

    worst of all. Got an EVDO in jammu. Connection is very poor. No green light at all. It really sucks. Sify@256Kbps (my home connection) is much better than that. I think they are just experimenting and making us fool...........

    I live in Jammu and have purchased evdo recently. But the service here is worst as promised by the bsnl authorites, the speed is equal to GPRS that too with fluctuations. If anyone can help me to solve this problem relating to speed I will be very grateful for this act of kindness. Otherwise the best option for me is sell it to some other person or through it in the dust bin.

    zamrum bhai dont be angry mey be that the tower whhose signal ur device is catching in not upgraded. i have a qieyr does evdo card works in akhnoor. pl do reply upgraded

    EVDO is worst ever i have seen , I stay in jammu, about evdo my views r:- speed is pathetic . Dial up connection is better than evdo . Downloading speed is near about 7kbps upto 15 kbps. which consumes alot of time . Even videos on you tube doesnt open and all heavy sites doesnt open at all.
