BSNL EVDO now available in Hyderabad, Guwahati & Gurgaon

A good news to people who are living in Hyderabad, Guwahati and Gurgaon. BSNL has finally started EVDO services in these cities and members from our forum has also started using it. Thanks for the members who informed about this availability.

    i am also having evdo connection and i leave inn guwahati only some times i get download speed of 120 -150kbps but for i have to install dap premium version .what about u guys how much speed u r getting during download and does this speed remain constant

    Since which date have they started EVDO in Guwahati as I also live in North - East (though not in Guwahati) and am eagerly waiting for EVDO to be started in my town.

    Ihave applied fr the evdo services and all my colleagues also are interested in GUWAHATI .
    The SDE was very helpful and he himself explained the benefit of having a BSNL EVDO card rather than any other services like Photon etc.

    Iwill get the device Shortly

    We took Reliance Data Card in Kolkata with the promise that it would work in Assam but not in practical test.

    I want to know why it is not launched in Delhi,Its the capital of India. This should be the first place to get started....that's really bull shit...

    Also is there any expert who can tell me whether the speed will be max in metro city only or it will also give max speed in small town or villages...

    my speed is too slow friends.....it tooks me 2-4 days to dwnld a 700mb file while some of my friends using photon dwnlds the same in abt 5-6 hours...

    I stay in Bangalore, Electronic City. I too have a BSNL EVDO card and it is giving me an average speed of 100-150 kbps at 3 bars. How can we improve it to an extent of 400-500 kbps like some one from Gurgaon posted? Even if we can bring it in a range of 200-300 kbps it will be fine with me.., but 100-150 is too slow.. and please tell me how many bars do we have for maximum signal strength..?

    (PIN:531163) 40 kms from Visakhapatnam.I think it works right in the city,but does not in my area.Or when BSNL is going to provide EVDO service in my area? Away city

    I am using BSNL EVDO datacard in Guwahati and it is good.I get good speed especially at night and download movies overnight. grt for Ghy. I have used Airtel and Tata photon +. Airtel bad and tata photo+ is good and good for NE. BSNL I guess is yet to be launched in other parts of NE so for now tata photon+ is best

    The greatest (un)professionals of this obese, white-elephant BSNL never learn. The only time it starts learning will be when it will be privatised against their wishes, as they are losing out to pvt.cos. daily even after offering lowest tariffs. Their game is not corporate professionalism but fooling people with their tariffs, which they think is the sole criteria to stay in competition. Let them sleep and dream until the thief of privatisation loots them unexpected. This, not our complaints, will be the only lesson to teach them for their arrogance and poorest performance.

    Bsnl is a serious paralysis patient. What its left hand does, the right hand doesn't know,and doesn't feel. Customer grievances are only on paper, to justify their high salaries to their bosses in Delhi.Conduct a satisfaction survey among the customers anytime and we'll see the disappointing results. Even after this, the BSNL will never regret and rectify.

    EVDO had to compete against its own other brand DATAONE in cities like delhi ...
    and i am sure BSNL has a good marketing head....
    anyways they are planning to launch WIMAX for cities like delhi and mumbai

    think twice before buying a BSNL EVDO in ASSAM in general and in UPPER ASSAM in particular. I have been useing it for last 2 months and speed is only 0-3 Kbps in maxmimum time, hardly it reaches its committed speed 144 Kbps(1x, 5 bars in DULIAJAN AND 3 bars in JORHAT) for a few seconds in JORHAT and DULIAJAN. recently, i got socked when a bill came wroth Rs. 717/- for the month of OCTOBER, 2009 and Rs. 287/- for the month SEPTEMBER, 2009 from 27th SEPTEMBER, 2009 to SEPTEMBER, 2009 (ONLY FOR 3 DAYS). WOOOOOOOOOOO they are charging for boardband connection tho' they are not launching the 2.4 Mbps speed connection till 19th NOVEMBER, 2009 in JORHAT and DULIAJAN. they can't (mr or mrs unknown employees or officers) or will not give u information (in the time of applying u will be served with tea and polite respone) in details (break up) about Rs. 4490/-(actual cost is Rs. 3500/-) for the cost of EVDO and reason of delay in launching of broadband speed. in the time of first launching of mobile service in JORHAT, they cheated the customers offering poor quality of service and now again they are cheating offering 144 Kbps speed's scheme and taking 2.4 Mbps scheme's bill. I WANT TO TRANSFER MY EVDO WITH 50% DISCOUNT, LET ME KNOW THE TRANSFER PROCEDURE AND CONTACT ME nazhm099@gmail.com

    i am gurgaon based evdo user. I have unlimited plan. But the speed is pathetic from last 15 days. I think the number of subscriber have increased and the tower to support service are less. I think in old ggn there are only 2. Please Don't go for bsnl evdo now. Speed they are offering now is 10 kbps to 15 kbps at night. In day it gives error remote server not responding dut to load on only two towers. One is located at sec 4 and other is located at bsnl main office.
