Coimbatore to get 19 more EVDO Towers.

Good news for EVDO users and soon to become EVDO users in Coimbatore. BSNL is planning to install 19 more EVDO Towers (BTS) in Coimbatore city to increase it's coverage, which enables more new connections.

This increase in number of towers will also enable good roaming support within the city and gives out good signal strength. Yet the locations are unknown. Even we have no clue about when they start installing new towers.

We will try our best to update you people when they start installing EVDO towers and will also try to get EVDO coverage in Coimbatore.

    Evdo towers 19 areas name given now...& bsnl nic/evdo card no stock in coimbatore...

    hello guys
    i have just bought EVDO connection after 2 months of waiting...
    but the Evdo is always going to 1X mode
    the resion which was given from the officials is that my place(singanallure) dose not have the signal

    they said told that they have a tower in racecourse
    i went there to see how the connection is
    but still i can connect only on 1x mode(ma 144 kbps)
    It always says

    "An authentication event has occured"

    and switches to 1x

    what to do????

    I was Used last one week is working well, but last 2 days is not working. The coverage towers apper on 3 points, working on EVDO mode but not connected on even Gmail site, ... pls help us.. my contact no: 0422-2412169

    i recently got the bsnl ev do card it s signal is week inside the house i bought a extension cable( 5 meters) and taken near the window its speed is good but is happy to get more towers lets see what are the area it covers up

    you people are too enthusiastic.other than unlimited download it has more negatives than positives.

    1. no refund for disconnection
    2. speed fluctuation too rapid
    3. my connection gets disconnected daily @ 5.45 or 6 am
    4. day time download is a nightmare if file size is 100mb
    5. limited ip for rapidshare
    6. recommended for browsing only.

    my EVDO card switches to 1X mode very often and im getting speeds of only 40kbps , could somebody tell me why this is happening and how to rectify it?

    Does anyone know where all the EVDO towers are in Coimbatore??..im stayin in Gandhipuram and i hav no idea if im gettin the EVDO connection..the speeds aint great either..so a lil help plz??

    i'm using an EVDO in Peelamedu(PSG Tech hostel)
    earlier i had the prob of switching to 1X mode... but tried placing it facing the south west direction (this may depend place to place) and now it always remain in EVDO mode... but my speed are around 200kbps only and max speed is 900kbps...
    plz some one in peelamedu post bout this

    I have purchased recently BSNL EVDO, I am experiencing only 60 to 100 kbps. I believe that this only 1X speed. I am staying at KKNagar. My BSNL Mobile picks the signal from the tower KKNagar3

    When is BSNL planning to upgrade this tower. I am very egarly waiting.

    Actually the speed is much better now..i dont know if they have installed towers or not but its surely better than few weeks back..

    BSNL evdo speed is pathetic. In peelamedu, even when the card hangs outside my histel room (PSG TEch) ,i get speeds only upto 10 kBps, keeps fluctuating b/w 10-25kBps...rarely have i seen speeds of about 40-50 kBps...Is there anything that can be done??

    I have bought bsnl evdo device 1 month back till then i am waiting for higher speed i am in center of town. Upto now my higest sped is 15kbps, i usally get only 4 to 8 kbps .Is this wat u get from 2.4 mbps modem ........

    my friends dont buy the device it says 2.4 mbps and will work like 2.4kbs that ur higest download rate.i have been using it for about a month i have higest speed of 4kbps. i am incenter of coimbatore city

    Bsnl Evdo card is slow i receive only 144 kbps at upstairs in my house i am staying POTHANUR P.VELUR NAMAKKAL dt TAMILNADU
    when took it PEELAMEDU COIMBATORE it does show single point of tower (no signal) if bsnl official view this please install tower in our area because more people are eager to buy this card as well as in peelamadu because it is youths area

    when ramanatahpuram district (Not coimbatore) will get evdo tower ? do any 1 have idea? my evdo connection is working in bangalore while roaming ramnad so its frustrating do any 1 have idea abt evdo tower?

    i have a different problem. I'm at karuumathampatti. I bought my Ev-do at Madurai. For first 2 months i got a speed between 700kbps - 1.4mbps.From last month onwards my speed reduced to 40 - 220 kbps. my signal strength shows 3 points but there is no speed. Sometime i get 1x speed.Did anyone had this problem and got a solution please tell mail me (kjamespraveen@gmail.com)
