Coverage Details of Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat & Rajkot

We got some information from one of forum membr, Hitesh regarding the area coverage details of the cities mentioned in the title. The coverage areas are the places where BSNL EVDO network is present. This will surely help people in those cities who are planning to buy one.

    I am BSNL EVDO costomer in Surat
    I Recently wen't to ahemedabad and i face rooming problem there,

    i am getting most of time speed in Surat about +512 kbps download and 64 kbps upload,

    kindly advize me how to activate rooming on EVDO cards ?

    Rooming has not yet been activated by BSNL for EVDO cards.

    i stay at ongc colony, makarpura road... is evdo available here ???... i m able to logon but with cdma as username n password n not card as given by the bsnl employee

    hi..Recently i went to mumbai with my Ev-Do Device adn tried to connect bt no network was available.. is it due to some problem or EV-Do facility is not available in Mumbai. please suggest how can i use Ev-Do on national Roaming.

    Yes EVDO Works in ONGC Colony Makarpura.I personally have one.

    I am frm RAJKOT , I m using BSNL EVDO from last 9 months , from last 1 month I m facing huge disconnection problems.
    My EVDO device is getting disconnected at every 15 minutes ,, and if I remove it and connect again than its well .
    The problem is more in Monday to Friday period .
    It is ok in Saturday - Sunday.

    i have bsnl unlimited plan at my home . i'm a college student and often have to use internet in my college but my college don't have wi-fi . so i'm planing to bye this EVDO . i'm living at surat and studding at bharuch . will it work clearly ? pls give reviews .

    Hi,
    i am having BSNL EVDO since last 1 and half month before.Speed of EVDO is like we are in 1995 internet.Very low speed and most of the time it gets disconnected its own.

    BSNL need to improve lot

    Its a very good internet device . No one can offer unlim internet at rs 650/- + tax = rs 717 approx. If u use IDM or DAP the internet speed will reach upto 110kbps download . The speed depends upon the traffic and the signal strength . I was among the first few customers of EV-DO when it was launched . Please also update the evdo device for the latest firmware at the bsnl office so that you will get mobile internet connectivity where the evdo coverage is not present.

    Namrata, EVDO coverage will work only for around 7 - 10 kms in radius. 30 kms is too far for the signal to reach. Perhaps you may get CDMA 1x instead of EVDO.

    1) if EVDO coverage is present in Bopal Area.
    2) Any comparison of coverage for EVDO from BSNL vs. Photon+ connection?

    Also, Can you advice me about real Download speed in EVDO? is it really good or is it bad now?
